We have 16 branches throughout the State of New York & Pennsylvania.
The NPMHU LOCAL 309 represents approximately 1400 Mail Handlers.

The Executive Board has decided to dedicate the Union webpage to Local President Arthur S. Vallone. As you are all aware, Art passed away on January 30, 2005

Art, was not only our boss, but our friend, mentor, and brother. It is difficult for us to express in words what he meant to us.

He always had the Union's best interest in mind when he made decisions, and instilled that same philosophy in his Executive Board, Council and Stewards.

Art left a lasting impression on everyone he came in contact with. His thoughtfulness, kindness and caring will always be remembered. We personally would like to thank Kim Vallone and their children for sharing Arthur with us. Local 309 was a better place because of Arthur S. Vallone and his idea's and efforts will continue through the many people he touched.

We have only fond memories of Arthur. As long as we live those memories will be a constant reminder to think, do the right thing and always strive to do our best.
